Digital Footprint / Digital citizenship
Have you ever logged on to a social network? Gone on to a website your parents told you not to go on to? Or even just typed something into google? Well first of all if you don"t think people can find that out, your wrong. Everyone leaves digital footprints, digital footprints are little pieces of information that can be sent to other servers and computers. Digital footprints can be anything from a video of your solo at last springs concert, to the email you were trying to send to your teacher from an assignment. As you see almost everything you do online is recorded.
Digital citizenship is very important because in our era there is lots of people using the internet every second. Digital citizenship is being respectful and kind to others on the internet. If we are all respectful while using the internet it will be easy to have every one get along smoothly with what they they should be doing.
Some good examples of digital citizenship are, being respectful to others online, doing what your supposed to be doing not messing around, not using the internet as a game, working with your partner to get your project done. If you follow all of these rules above you are a good digital citizen.
Some negative examples of digital citizenship are making fun of others religion or race, excluding someone from a chat room or group, posting negative coments, not using appropriate language on the site, not following the rules on the social agreement. If you are not following these rules you are probably not a good digital citizen and need to re-read the social contract you signed.
Digital citizenship and social contracts are alike in a way because you should be following them both. If you don't you can't be a very good digital citizen or be following the contract and what it states.

1. Look at the rubric so that you will know how the introduction will be graded (advanced is worth the most points, beginning is worth the least points).
2. Write 5 - 10 (or more) sentences to introduce yourself.
3. Pay particular attention to correct spelling, capitalization and punctuation - this is SCHOOL WRITING, not TEXT writing.
Hey, my name is Hannah I am thirteen years old. Some of my favorite sports are dance, cross country, and basketball. I go to Anamosa West Middle School in Anamosa, Iowa. Some of my favorite subjects in school are math, science, reading, and Tech Lit. When i get older I want to be an SLP (Speech Language Pathologist). These people work in hospitals, with disabled people, and people who maybe just had a stroke and can't remember how to talk so I would try to help them to regain there way of communicating. I like to help a lot of people in as many ways as I can. I am looking forward to doing this Digiteen project because I will be able to talk to and communicate with others not in my classroom, we will be able to see other schools ideas and see what they think of ours.
